CASE STUDY:
Oakland homeowner Reymon LaCheaux was interested in energy efficiency and tenant improvements for his Duplex in West Oakland but didn't know where to start. After contacting Revalue.io he became interested in the comprehensive approach to energy efficiency and local minority job creation. Mr. LaCheaux was able to install a heat pump mini split system that allows the units to be individually heated and cooled with minimal electricity opposed to gas. Insulation and air sealing was a major component of the Green Home upgrade. Reducing the amount of air leakage increased the comfort and effectiveness of heating/cooling systems. With the help of Revalue.io and Blocpower, Mr. LaCheaux was able to achieve a green home upgrade complete with an upgraded smart electrical panel to submeter each unit in preparation for solar/storage in the future.
